Leemo 0
No, just a remote button and it doesn't disable the alarm when you disconnect the battery.
Petesvw 0
If you had a key to the alarm, this would answer your probs mate! You could de-activate the alarm, then re-set the ECU.Is there not a sequence via the fob you can go thru to do this? What alarm system is it?

matth76 1
I had exactly the same problem when I needed to disconnect my battery... the only way you can stop the alarm bleeding your ears is to use the small key you should have ...it simply goes into the alarm box on the driver side of the engine bay just underneath the windscreen washers. It is a small key about an inch in length... if you haven't got it then you could get one made up (I assume) with the key fob code (please tell me the seller gave you that when they sold you the car - otherwise you will pay through the nose if you lose or break your key fob) If the previous owner didnt give you any paperwork for the alarm then your local VW dealer should be able to help you and give you the contact details. Leemo 0
Looked around and found the key for the alarm but I'm not sure where the key hole is. Any tips on the where abouts. My alarm is up next to the battery so any navigation to this hole will be very helpful.
