cwinter8 0
There is a rattle coming from my engine. It occurs from just above idle speed, and gradually fades until just below 2000rpm from which point it disappears.I've ascertained it's likely to be the chain guides but I replaced the top chain tensioner bolt after reading one of the forum topics in the hope this would improve things. Initially it did but the rattle has come back :-( I inspected the new tensioner bolt after around 2-3000 miles and found that the end has started wearing already in the same way the previous one has - could this be symptomatic of something?I have no idea how long the rattle has been present as I noticed it shortly after buying the car in May.Do you think I need the chains/guides done imminently, or do i have some mileage left in it?
