zerocool 0
you need it on a diagnostic machine really,I have the same prob, but I got no fault codes up on mine,I'm just gonna change sensors as I go now,at least then I know they should be all good for a few more miles
jcorallo 0
ha - hands up if you've bought brand new sensors that dont work"me me me!!Strange thing is, I was looking on gti-vr6.net library and there is an article about Beru parts - saying that they are cr*p - guess what - a brand new Beru O2 sensor from GSF gave no signal what so ever when fitted to my car - was a flat line in VAG-COM. It went straight back and I got Bosch instead for the same price.Jules[ Edited Thu Dec 18 2003, 04:39PM ]
zerocool 0
I'd always use genuine vag,for things like that, like you say, I have bought sensors before that don't work and from beru.is your car obd1 or 2? I would check the throttle potentiometer
acf8181 0
it's obd1.
acf8181 0
got the codes checked. there's a snapped vacuum hose. it also came up with a lambda sensor fault, which the guy thought was due to the hose, and would go away. he also, recommended new plugs and leads. so where's the cheapest place to get hold of them?
jcorallo 0
GSF for plugs - £2.50 each before vat.leads - about 50 quid. if you get Silicon leads, be carefull fitting them - the plastic rails on top of the engine have sharp teeth and they cut into the leads very easily....Jules
