vdubgirl 3
:-( Yup my car went off to its new home in Heathrow last night and yes I'm gutted and very upset about it all but its a car and sometimes decisions have to be made. I'm hoping the new owner Dom will register with the club and keep the car part of it He seems a great guys and a huge VW fan so hopefully he'll look after dusty.Anyhow Just to let you all know even though I dont have VR6 I'll be still helping the club out with all its events etc. I may not be at the shows but I will be still helping organise the displays and helping with the memberships etc. I hope this is ok with everyone????Claire aka No-Dub-Girl

duncs 0
one quick question as i don't know, how come you sold the VR and compromised on an omnipresent TDI anyhow?
vdubgirl 3
Duncs Me and Ian need to buy a house soon and with house prices the way they are we can afford anything with a nice drive way or garage so my cars will have to be road side parked. - and that another reason why were getting rid of them all as Ian has a company van and we will have no where to park the rest of them! So were pooling the sales of all the cars and buying one nice practicle one for the time being until we get sorted. Like I've said to alot of people its not the money of the car which is the problem the prob is my vr6 was an idiot magnet and i never drove it anywhere bar shows. All it ever did was sit on the driveway and run its battery flat There are also a few more underlying things as well - nothing bad to do with the car or the club but they are reasons why I've had to sell it but i dont really wanna talk about them on a public forum
blackmagic 0
If the new owner is a VW nut then im sure we will see dusty at the shows so you will have to be there too Claire to make sure shes doing all ok. The club would not be as organised if ya left so hang on in there and bring on the deisel challange....

spindat45 0
Sorry to hear the news Claire but short term loss of VR for long term gain sounds like a good enough reason to me. Having seen that car I know you would not have taken the decision to sell it lightly. Good luck with your plans for the future. Now I have the difficult task of breaking the news to my girfriend. Since Inters this year I often hear "but you know your VR isn't as nice as Claire's". Girls sticking up for each other I guess. Kevin
antera309 3
On the look out for a MK4 golf Tdi I'm sure the guys & girls on the UK-mkIVs forum will be able to give you some buying advice. The GTi Anniversary PD150s are the ones to go for....
vdubgirl 3
Yeah UK-MkIV's is a great site to use for sourcing info on the MkIV just a shame there's none suitable for sale over on there. They either have too many doors or are out of my price range.Really want a Anni one but my funds cant stretch to them I need another £2000 at least to get one as they are holding there value very well at the moment.Kevin If I'd know your G/f Loved my car that much I would of given her first refusal on it lol And yes its been a decision which wasnt made lightly on my behalf its been something i've thought about for a few months. TBH I did not expect to sell it I thought i was in dream land when I put it up for the price I did knowing what a weird market the VR6 one is I really did not expect to see it go that quick or get the money for it! I think I just sold it at the right time as Dom who bought it was after one that week
