blackburnvr6 0 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Share Posted June 9, 2004 engine runs ok under 3.5 k but when i give it gas it starts to spluter badly also when ideling it sounds like it wants to cut out has anybody experienced this or no what it could be just trying to get an idea before i go garage and dont get ripped thanks for looking lee Link to post Share on other sites

antera309 3 Posted June 10, 2004 Report Share Posted June 10, 2004 This often happens when the MAF sensor gets corroded or caked with residue.My mate's Merc SLK has this exact problem, and I've heard of it hapenning often on VWs too.Get a computer diagnosis done on it.
