I'm a retired sales rep with a keen interest in cars. This is my second Golf having previously owned a MK3 Avant Garde.

I've owned the VR6 for 3 months having bought it off my son. He spent a lot of money putting it right as it had obviously had a hard life on a farm. The car was purchased new in Holland in 2001 (it is RHD) and is described as a Highline although HLs were not available on Mk4s in the UK.

There is still some work to be done. Bodywork has plenty of dings/scratches. EML stays on although car runs perfectly.

Both outer sills are dented and the head lining is stained. Recent wheels refurb has made a big difference and from a distance the car looks ok! I needed a new exhaust and was quoted £900 from TPS even though no stock! Had a stainless fitted for £450 and now makes a lovely growl.
