Hi there, It took me while to write over here, I didn't know how to begin but here I am..: I'm having some problems with my V6 4motion 52 plate Golf. There is this rattling/knocking sound coming from the engine whilst warm only. When it's cold I think there's 'only pulleys' I'm hearing(sound like a washing machine being on a rinse mode running very slow), in short: When the engine gets warm(around 90 and more celzius) you can hear rattling/knocking sound coming from it mostly when you hit 2000-4000 rpm. Hi pete , thanks for having me here. The ESP light comes up after 10 min of driving, well that would be my first 'issue' considering that, I don't know how serious the problem might be(just wondering if the ABS is being switched off whilst that happens as well, cause I read there is some kind of interconnection with each other). And the engine has switched off twice since I bought it, I made 150 miles or so and It happened twice, just worried if this happens on a motorway with heavy traffic.
