Hi Bealieboy Yes, if its serviceable and air tight, it would do me a turn. I have used dish washer tablets and Laundry stain remover to good effect in the past. What`s the best thing to do?

Hi there Many thanks for replying to my post. True to form just got the car home from purchase and the coolant warning light came on. Lifted the bonnet and there was water around the coolant expansion vessel. I let it cool and unscrewed the cap on the vessel and there was just a little water in the bottom. No other visible signs of water escape, so I can only imagine the vessel is fractured somewhere. Thankfully the temp gauge never moved from half way. I tried ordering a anew one from VW but now obsolete. That's the story so far. Best Ashley

Have bought an M reg VR6 and am looking forward to doing a few bits to it but will no doubt need some of your knowledge and help in pointing me in the right direction!
