spoolin2liter got a reaction from toontel in New to forum not VR6s hi all!
Hey everyone. Been a while since I owned a VR6 but have a ton of mechanical experience with them. I owned a 98 Golf VR which went through an engine within 4 months of purchase (learned real quick how to build a VR) and now recently bought a VR6 Corrado with/ for my wife to drive. I am currently going through hell with the wiring. Guy did a fantastic job on the engine bay but seriously neglected taking care in his wiring. So im dealing with this dumb issue where it will start and die right away but sometimes it will start no problem. Tore apart the wiring last night where the obd2 harness meets the obd1 harness and found a few dodgy connections. Today ill be trying again to see if that was the issue. Anyway heres a pic of the car and motor.
Doesnt have that dumb sticker on it anymore.

And my aba turbo golf project (almost done)
