  1. My set up on my car is standard brakes, car lowered all round on the koni sport lowering kit so lowered roughly 30mm all round. Yes the wheels are normally for a scooby I think as they have the same pcd as the golf. So I guess its just the offset and the centre bore of the alloys to see if they fit. I don't want to run any sort of spacers when fitting after market wheels hence me trying to find out if they will bolt straight on. Thanks for the responses guys
  2. Would these fit on the mk3 vr6? I know the pcd is 5x100 and the the offset is et35 would the fit on the golf? Standard brake setup. They 7x17 and 8x17, these are the sizes i'd be looking at. The ultralight website states jdm cars. Any help guys cheers
  3. Hey guys, quick update, it was the wheel bearings making the noise. Both side stripped, pressed out and replaced with new ones. Also replaced new discs and pad with the ebc turbo groove discs and green stuff pads. The offside bearing looked as if it was fitted incorrectley as the plastic/rubber edge was fowling on the hub and burred up. The old ones looked to have done around 40k miles so not to bad really. There wasno real play in the bearings though. Jut glad the horrible whirring noise is gone.
  4. Hey all, are the mk3 golf vr6 heavy on front wheel bearings? Ive had my car a couple of months now and in the history folder its had numerous front wheel bearings and they have just got really noisy really quick. Going to change them this week but wandering if there is a stronger set to put it? Steve

  7. Hello everybody. I am pretty new to the site but finding my around and some good info so far so thank you already. I work for Bentley which is handy for the vw group discount which ive already had the pleasure at my local dealer/stealers!! So back to the new vr, I have bought it totally standard blue, 96 n reg which has covered 117k. The car some people
