  1. i did double check when the head was fitted, the timing marks didnt line up exactly but they are as close as i could get em, its gettin new chains, sprockets and tensioner this month anyway so ill see if that does it, cnt see it bein that but ya never no
  2. i think i have sorted the strange misfire and it doesnt seem to hold back as much when warm but still lacking vr power, its an early dizzy obd1 2.8 iv rebuilt moast the engine includint, skimming the head, reseating valves, complete head rebuild, new piston rings and so on, baby'd it for over 1000k to run her in a little and then took it through the revs gradualy, the other day i decided right its time to see what she's got so i raced my friend in a standard engined e30 325 touring and i lost, surely something is wrong there, or is it just e30 325's are faster than i thought but even my frie
  3. i had same problem pal i couldnt find any marks on the aux pully either so i ended up timing my bottom end using the notch on the flywheel and maching it to the point on the bellhousing/clutch inspection hole
  4. i have an early dizzy vr6 out of a mk3, it has a few problems, when its warm it seems to struggle and not pull as well as it should and has recently developped a strange missfire at 3500rpm when at temperature and occasionaly when cold, it starts fine runs fine up to 3500rpm were it seems to cut out completely and misfire, once its past 3500rpm it runs fine again (minus it struggling for power, its had a new coil pack from gsf with new leads dizzy and rotor arm, a new knock sensor, new crank sensor, new inlet temp sensor its realy confusing me now so any1 any ideas
