  1. Hi all After seeing another forum member using a fiat bravo side fill radiator I decided this was the option for me as my old rad and coolant tank was knackered plus the tank fouled my strut brace. After fitting the fiat rad on new mounts the cross beam the old rad sat on now fouls the lower coolant tank house. As I have used new mounts and also relocated the power steering pump cooler this cross beam seems to play no part now so I was wondering if I can remove it completely. The engine sits on its on beam and will still keep the strength so will I get away with binning it..... Also if I had
  2. Cheers for the reply.....I am still looking at this. There is lots of reading out there. There is a lot of sway towards the single turbo especially the setup you describe but what can I say bar its all about the looks...:-) only kidding it's all about the acceleration.
  3. cheers for that. If they don't fit and require a lot of machining I have been eyeing up some twin turbo manifolds on ebay.de but I'm not quite sure what quality they will be and they state 2.8,2.9 and 3.2.......
  4. is that the 1.2 petrol fiat bravo? did it take much to fit it? and did you have any cooling issues with it or need to change the pressure cap? sorry for the questions but it's one of the things stopping me getting mine running....
  5. great post and the car is looking good but can I ask where you got your side fill rad from as I am looking at fitting one to mine.
  6. I meant to ask but you don't know the measurements for the vr6 exhaust flange by anychance.
  7. cheers for the reply. I'll see if I can find a part number for one on the internet. Its a choice between the k03s or I have the chance of a pair of t28s from a nissan 200sx. I don't mind a bit of machining so no doubt one pair will get fitted...
  8. Hi I posted this on another forum but thought I might get a better reply here so has anyone got a ko3s turbocharger lying around that can do some measurements for me please..... I am looking for the some measurements from the part that fits to the exhaust manifold specifically: (pic found on internet and not a turbo I have sitting about) flange outer measurement - circled red hole to hole spacing - circled green the exhaust gas turbine diameter - circled yellow And if anyone has a vr6 exhaust manifold lying about could I get the corresponding measurements from that aswell please... Cheers Ry
  9. which kit did you use? and where did you get it from? I want to do this to my vr...did you poly bush it all or use poly bush on the front and r32 on the rear....
  10. The ko3 turbo is a 3 bolt fixing so I am just trying to find the spacing between bolts to see if they would fit onto the stock exhaust manifold. I have seen on ebay.de the twin turbo manifolds but they are for the r32. I was thinking a pair of ko3s turbos with a short runner intake, water injection and a fmic would give me the power I would want.
  11. I have been looking into this and although it looks tricky it looks like it could be worth a try. I would be looking at getting some smaller turbos as it's more acceleration and mid range than top end I am looking for. Hopefully if I find some turbos with 3 bolt fixings I will trial fit them against my existing manifolds.
  12. Hi all I was offered today by a mate a twin turbo setup fro an rx7 he is breaking....I have not seen the actual turbos but was wondering if they would fit to the vr6 or is the space to tight between the engine and firewall.....I suspect it is a pretty big setup Ryan
  13. Hi all as it says in the title I am looking for the part number or where I can get the slider bolts from the front calipers off an audi s3. I have looked in eurocarparts but can't find them and I would buy a seal kit but they are £25 and I don't need to replace the seals just the pins....Are these them... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Golf-Brake-caliper-slider-Pin-H11201-/270920663469?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f142141ad#ht_6253wt_1165 They look similar... Cheers Ryan
  14. Hi all I have been looking at upgrading my rear calipers to the mk4/audi alloy ones but they still look tiny against the bigger vented discs. Is there any calipers that are bigger and better or are the audi ones more than enough? ryan
  15. after checking a bit more I have found it doesn't fit as the engine in a passat is mounted longitudinally instead of transverse. oh well I will keep looking
