he suspects oil rings... im going to do a compression test as soon as i get it back from him.

heres all the problems i have at the moment.... my 2.8 vr is bogging, it misses when i change gears, i can only drive it fast if i hold the gear for a while (almost like it doesnt know what gear its in) it boggs and then drives normal, its started to overheat now but i realized my fans were off, their on now but it still overheats but slower... it also smokes when im standing still and keep the revs up, also smokes when i drive hard and slow down... its more of a lighter smoke than dark... any suggestions please? i am from south africa and my mechanic told me its going to be R12000 to fix...

does anyone have a diy on how to override your fans onto a switch please.. i just need them to go on, doesnt matter what level at this stage.. thanks

jep im pretty sure we did,,, i looked now again in the dark and i see my 2nd, 3rd and 5th plug is arcing... this is probly the reason hay?

i just changed my head on my mk3 2.8 vr6 12v AAA motor and it seems to not want to drive.. the car struggles to go past 2500rpm and revs weirdly, it also missfires alot and when trying to gain speed the oil light beeps and flashes at me when there is enough oil.. i did a spark test (holding the spark plug against metal and testing for a spark) and all 6 did spark so what else could be the problem?? please let me know as i really wna feel what this car can do.. thanks
