  1. thank you for all the replys, got this sorted today an absolute treat! i wanted to do an oil change anyway so it made sense to attend to these 2 leaks while it was drained out, 2 seals for the oil cooler and 1 o ring for the knock sensor, i also used abit of ptfe tape around that o ring to be 100% sure it wont leak, also new filter and 10w-40 mobil semi syn oil and jobs a gooden!

  2. i have the same thing m8, got it booked in next week to have the wireing sorted as theres supposed to be 3 wires to the hall sender and mine only has 2, the 3rd one has come away and the outer part of the wire is burnt off, some times hard to start from cold {like yours} and i have hesitation at around 1800 revs, i have replaced the plugs and leads, it starts better from cold, but still has hesitation,

  3. i have a similar problem, my temp guage doesnt get hotter then 75 and because of this my car runs rich because it thinks it cold, my m8 thinks its a thermostat {blue 2pin} as its for the ecu, well you could have the same problem but with the other thermostat, the 4 pin yellow? not sure, but there cheap to replace if they havnt been already,http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?38925-The-definitive-VR6-cooling-guide&highlight=vr6+cooling+guide

  4. hi, my vr6 seems to be slightly jerky or hesitating if you hold it steady at around 1400 -1600 revs, any more revs and its fine pulls well, there are some dodgey wires going to the hall sensor infact one of them isnt connected, gettn that sorted next week as its booked in,i just replaced the plugs and HT leads, the plugs were abit sooted up aswell, going to clean the MAF sensor and change the air filter as thats seen better days, anything else i can do before i seak profesional help?

  5. na one of my leaks is deffo not the dipstick hole, my vr6 looks abit different to this pic, but on mine just above the filter and to the right, theres a black wire with a plug that goes into the engine block, looks like its comming from there and also that thing thats to the right of the filter houseing in the pic above {oil cooler?} where it joins the block looks like its leaking there to, but only when being jacked at the rear, cheers,

  6. yea i think,if your talking about the hole with the copper circle? the sensor just unscrews from the engine? although mine seems to be the other way around,i.e its to the right of your filter, what is that thing on the right of the filter with the spanner flats sticking out? looks like it has a coolant line going to it? {oil cooler?}on mine its to the left of the filter, and looks like its leaking where it joins the engine, i could be wrong though, thanks..

  7. had the back end jacked up today on obd1 vr6 corrado as i was haveing a butchers at the calipers, because it was jacked up it developed an oil leak :( so i tryed finding out what it was and i couldnt quite make out where but it seems like its comming from a plug {wth a black wire to it} just above the oil filter, also looks like its comming from something just to the left of that plug, i have no idea what it is but it does have spanner flats on it, { up and to the left of the oil filter}, anyway does anyone know how to seal the leak on these items? im sorry i dont know the names yet, but im sure the black wire must be the oil temp? i do have a pic of the black wire/plug but im trying to work out how to upload it lol chears..

  8. hi all, on my vr6 corrado obd1 i have a slight problem when starting cold, idle is iratic from 0 to 1000rpm and you have to put ya foot down abit otherwise it cuts out, once its warm its fine idles at 1000rpm perfect, any ideas of what sensor it is? or whats up?

read somewhere that it could be the lambda sensor? also through all gears at around 1500-1900rpm it feels alittle jerky or hesitant? but if you put ya foot down to say 2200rpm it clears and pulls through the rev range fine, any advice much appreciated thanks...
