I have a vr6 converted mk3 cabriolet have a strange one, connect battery up car starts and drives fine switch off and start up again it will run then die after a second my thought was immobiliser so bought one of those emulators wired it in connected battery up started and ran fine switch off same problem! Disconnect and reconnect battery it starts first go. Front windows will sometimes go down of own accord sometimes when starting don't know if this is connected. No fault codes it's as though something is blocking restart yet disconnect and reconnect battery all is well I have reinstated immo
