  1. Hi everyone I am looking for some help and advice. I am now looking to improving the handling of the 4mo. I really need to get rid of the wallowy ride, now a lot of people have gone for the R32 rear ARB and related bushes and droplinks. This could be a route, but I am also thinking along the lines of uprated dampers and springs. Was looking at coilovers but I am not going to be adjusting it myself so think this may be overkill, also I do not want to lower it severely, I have 18"s on it now and don't want to get into the rolling arches situation, so thinking 30mm drop maximum. So really lookin
  2. I had this recently, but the ESP light stayed on, after getting the fault checked it was the 4WD module had failed. Luckily was replaced on warranty as the part is around £600 on its own. Also had the haldex filter and oil change performed all in warranty
  3. Going to treat myself this week and first on the list is an induction kit. But which one, I know most will say the BMC one but don't want to spend 200+ on a induction, so what is the next best out there. Want a good sound as I need to start releasing that V6 growl
  4. Hi guys, Had the Golf for around a month now and absolutely loving it . Anyway nows the time to think of some mods Would like your thoughts on the1st change which will be the alloys, still got the standard 16" jobbies, so going to go for a set of 18" zito 169's with Veredestein Sessanta rubber: Tried adding a link to the wheels but can't get it working*-) Next will be the windows to be tinted, definately rear's and will see if I can get away with a light smoke on the fronts. Miltek non resonated BB will be next closely followed by an induction kit of some sort. Got a roof spoiler waiting to b
  5. Will probably go with the non resonated miltek exhaust. Looked at the supersprint but was quoted best part of £1000 :-# As for wheels will either go 17" or 18" but nothing too lairy, want a realtively factory look, but they need to be in a dark finish, either anthracite or gunmetal. Quite like these 3 styles: http://www.alloywheels.com/product.asp?P_ID=2215&V_ID=113230&strPageHistory=search&strKeywords=5x100%20et30,5x100%20et33,5x100%20et35,5x100%20et37,5x100%20et38,5x100%20et40,5x100%20et42,5x100%20et45,5x100/57-1%20et35,5x100/57-1%20et38,5x100/57-1%20et40,5x100/57-1%20et42&n
  6. Well just emailed them, all 4 door trims centre console and drivers door console are £340 all in, will be ordering tonight Right wheres the exhaust and alloy websites now, can feel the bank account is going to get a hammering over the next few weeks :-d
  7. That looks like a great site, going to cost me a few ££££'s now though. Loads of nice stuff on there
  8. Hi, I have just collected my V6 4 Motion and am absolutely loving it. 8-| Now looking to do some slight mods, tint windows, upgrade ICE, exhaust etc. Main thing I want to do straight away is get rid of the wood look an the handles and console, why oh why VW thought that looked good I will never know *-) anyway, I have been trawling through ebay and have several options, one is the R32 interior trim which I would prefer to do, I also came across an american seller supplying a stick on kit, from pictures it looks ok, but it is best part of £100 so need to know if anyone has tried this and what
  9. Hi guys, I am looking to put my Alpine H/U in the Golf, problem I have is the car came with the DSP unit and the nokia amp in the boot. Took car to my usual ICE installer and he started saying that the speaker wires are not connected traditionally and unless I replaced the nokia amp with another amp and migrate the wires across, I would need to have all 4 speakers re-wired up to the head unit? Is this correct? I'm sure there must be a way around it. He spoke to autoleads and they confirmed this and stated that the ISO connector plug only powers the replacement stereo and doesn't include the sp
