Hi guys, for some reason i have only just been able to read your replies. So far we have fitted coilovers and some kumhos and stripped out most of the interior, We have been to bedford airdrome and silverstone last week, even though the car oversteers alot its so much fun!!! As much as we try we cannot loose it! Very forgiving. We were racing a focus rs at silverstone which lost it round one long corner but our golf (now named shake and bake) stuck solid. Hi there everyone, Myself and my friend have started a little competition with another two friends, the rules are we spend £1000 on a car per couple and have a variety of track challengers to see which will win, the others managed to buy a subaru impreza and we bought a n reg vr6 golf , We bought the car with a bigger brake conversion, braided hoses and coilovers. We have gutted the car to save a bit of weight and after having a rolling road test (not sure of the exact figures 191bhp?!) we need to buy some reasonably cheap tyres as our ones are perished.
