rite ive had the engine to bits and found something has broke up and gone round the engine scortching everything so i have decided that if someone has some inerest in it i would part with the car for price, it still jhad 11months m.o.t. and 5 months tax, just needs a new engine dropping in it, i dont have the time or money to do it

erm is it easier to seperate the box then take it out or leave the box on and take out together, i dont fancy taking the whole subframe out with everything attached

could i have some guidance please, im taking my engine out to do the timing and other various bits and bobs, ive never took it out on its own before tho, do you have to undo any clips surrounding the clutch area? or will it just seperate when i undo the ring of bolts on the gearbox/engine? cheers

well.........i was on the way back from skeggy saterday nite and the car had no power at all, i then pulled off from a round about and the car started juddering, so i thought id drive it home slowly, then when i got to the top of my street there was a metal on metal scraping noise, and ive losst all power now, i tihnk it maybe the tappets seein as theyve been noisey and gradualy got worse, just wondering if anyone else has had that problem, i stripped the top end this morning and found out that 2 tappets are loose and can push them in and out by hand, but would that make the metal on metal noi

hi, my valve lifters are getting a bit noisey, i was wondering if they are bleedable ones? or if you take them out and clean them that would solve it? i dont really want to pay out £80 + if you can just clean them and they quieten down, ive tried addatives that are suppost to quieten them down but had no joy, can anyone help? cheerssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

i had it once in the dizzy theres some sort of little black box and that had broke up inside and lost all spark

yes it does run rough, it idles at around 500rpm, but sometime when u start it when its warm it will idle just over 1000rpm it cuts out sometime to when u dip the clutch when rolling, it doesnt run rough tho

i have recently done a conversion on my golf ryder, i have put in a obd1 with distributor, it seems to be losing power, one minute it will go like s£%t of a shovel, and then other times it still feels like ive got the 1.4 under the bonnet, can anyone help? cheers

i have a mk3 golf ryder that i have jjust put a obd1 dizzy version vr6 into, its pretty much done apart from the wiring and lambda sensor, was wondering what sort of price i would get for it as it is? cheers
