Well done Martin and that brings back some memories...
I think that is my favourite viewing area as well..

I am very interested in your 044 catch tank. Does that hold fuel from the lift pump in reservoir to ensure no cavitation to the Bosch fuel pump?

Well with a profiling machine at my disposal and able to cut 20mm thick stainless steel plate, I've had 2 plates cut ready for machining. I have spare manifolds supplied by Tony (thank you) and a project is now in progress. I will be making 2 different designs and the program's used on the cnc machines kept (in case they are any good). Just need to see when to pull the engine out and ask nicely for some help.

Heavy cars that are heavy on brakes and bushes. Be sure to scan it with VCDS to check for any hidden faults. Otherwise I'm sure you will love it.

I have been watching this for some time and love the whole build. It does help loads to have people like Matt and James about.

I've never been a fan of gas less welding as the gas is vital to a descent weld. Have you tried turning the power down until it is hard to get the arc and then increase the power in increments before it spits and splutters. It does sound like you have too much power or too slow on the wire feed.

Recaro's look very good.

Let us know how long it goes before you get pulled.

They look very similar to rotiforms.

Have you spoken to Stealth about it?

Seriously lucky with that one. I have a friend who went through a windscreen and his facial scars are severe. I clunk click every trip.

Could you please clarify where you cut the bracket.
Also.
Is it necessary to detach the various lines running along the inner face of the trailing arms ?
Thanks.

The brake line passes through a bracket and to save disconnecting the line and having to bleed the system you can cut a slot the width of the brake pipe. Pull the pipe back and out of the bracket to free it. The reverse for replacement and re-secured with the clip.

When you buy a genuine lead for VCDS from somewhere like Ross tech you get the license for the software. It will always get updated as well.
