Morning all It's been far too long since my last post but those of you that remember and welcomed me joining I'm hoping won't mind helping out a fellow dubber in need I'm hoping to snap up a 4motion engine that has been rebored to 2.9L, gas flowed and has uprated clutch, pistons and new timing chain fitted. The seller on ebay says I will need the following to complete the install: 1) 4Motion Ecu with security removed, 2) Engine Loom 3) 4 motion inlet and exhaust manifolds 4) Injectors My query is which of the above 4motion parts if any would need to be modified to compliment a 2.9L 4motion

Heartfelt thanks to everyone, you really look after your own ! Sadly she is done for as the chassis is badly bent on the drivers side . My only option is to strip n sell to fund a transplant into a mk3 gti shell ( I really want to stay in the 'family' eben if its in a different body ). Keeping my eyes open for a clean donor car with knackered engine / headgasket. My black leather interior will be listed for sale soon along with other bits of trim to help the funding. I just cant let that lump n gearbox go to waste... Here's to hoping....

Ur a good man fella.. but u know wot its like, everybody got a million n one other probs to solve. panels would be good but theres some structural damage I m not sure about :^)

lmao !! that mk2 is ridiculously tempting but whats the going rate for a transplant into something like that ??!! I would have stick it on a 6 month payment plan or something !! Any ideas on a local garage / storage ?

Thanks for the support guys, ref the mk2 conversion I would love to but finances say otherwise. In an ideal world I'd declare it off road until I can afford to fix it or dump the lot in a 1990s sirrocco 8o| but dont have a garage so thats not happening :-(
