  1. Hi Guys.

I think you can class me as a lurker I do jump on and take a read everyone and again. Having the Tapatalk app integration is a great help towards that.

This is my VR Highline which I've actually sold now waiting for collection.

  3. Wire brush to clean up around under the adjuster as much as you can. Prefer gt85 over wd40 or some lock shock stuff there is a wd40 version or Halfords own brand.

Vice the shock up and use a big heavy hammer and keep whacking the adjuster.

If no budge you can heat up the adjusters and that will definitely get them moving. Just be careful not too heat too much as you don't want to damage the shock internals.

I kept touching the shock body whilst heating as soon as felt it was getting a bit too warm I stopped and commenced hammering.

  4. You should be able to just undo the two hoses going into the heater matrix and with dash removed

undo the 4 screws holding the heatermatrix in place in the complete fan unit and pull up and replace.

You shouldn't need to undo any other bolts in the engine bay apart from two to remove the dash.

Sounds like you trying to remove the whole heating/fan unit

  5. well i put one tank when I left home' date=' then another tank at Dover, one tank in Luxembourg before and one after the Ring then one tank in Dover for way home so 5 tanks for me too :) so that's around £200 ish, although the 2 tanks in Luxembourg were very cheap !!

    [/quote']

That's not bad was expecting more on fuel.... I'm planning on going with the cGTI lot in august, anyone record there times around the ring??

  6. eibach anti-roll bars' date=' top brand damping adjustable coilovers (hard setting), big brembo brakes with 15" wheels with top brand tyres i.e. eagle f1's.

    [/quote']

Upgrade rear bar only (induces more oversteer) I did front and reverted as didn't like handling.

Good set of coilys are def - I did first track day on hottuning ebay ones - beat the sh*t out of them

Get in touch with diluxe on CGti he sold his mk3 and has a set lying around.

Brembo brakes will help, but not really worth it if you not increasing power on car, get standard VAG discs (~£40 each on trade) and Mintex M1155's also run some racing fluid (I use Halfords one - took about 1 litre to bleed and fill system)

As for Tyres you really should be looking for some proper track tyres R888's or full slicks (look around online, bay, ed38) and pick up a used set if you can't afford spankers.

You will def get your use out of them, and will not let you down on the day when they super heat.
