I know this isn't a VR6 but thought i'd share the project with you all! Here's a few pics of my progress so far:
This is how i brought it,
Engine bay was a bit of a mess so i started to clean it with old engine in while i looked high and low in ad mag and ebay for my doner car, was looking at a vr6 or abf 16v out of the mk3, finally found a nice mk3 16v for the right money and got that, (*bits for sale in market place*) 8-)
Put the glass in while i parked it outdoors and buffed the rear screen as it had gone all yellow with it being old and made of perspex,
Here's the doner car in verious stage's of strip down,
And a few bit that i have got over the last few weeks
My porsche 928 s4 7 slote alloys (need a refurb)

Ebay again for the mirrors and fitting kit, well easy to fit.
As for the vento front mate, the hole lot cost 100 and paint it ya self to save your self the cash. search it on google for one in your colour too

Yer i'm like the new front end just trying to find some e code euro tinted headlight but they aren't proving easy to find

nice one mate, they do freshen the front up to date a bit and are a bargain ha.

Just some flat wipers i got of ebay, really good quaility, look and work good too. Thanx for the feedback glad you liked

Got a bit bored with the front so i swapped to the vento front, got some different wheels and mirrors.
Let me know what ya think good or bad.

New front all painted with new carbon look mirrors and new flat wipers
Just waiting to do a de badged and wipered cl taigate without the spoiler and fit new wing and eye brow spoiler.
Also does any body know of any companys that do nitrous setting up in the midlands?

I'm worried about the weather!! Bet it will be sh*t.
Hopefully not because haven't had a chance to shack my vr6 off yet. Mind you it's still at paint for the next week at least

Hi there, does any body know of a company that make's a 4 point bolt in rear cage for a 3 door vr6 golf? Looked high an low on the net and can only find aluminium false show cage's!!

With the car goin back to the paint shop for another full paint job as i'm not happy with how it's turned out (won't have to pay again!!!) Starting to get pissed with the paint now lol.
Took it on me to take of the grey/black look wheels that i didn't really like since buying, So thought it was time for me to get the paint gun out myself an get the wheels looking smart. Here's a few pics
Car cleaned with the old look wheels on:
With my 16" tt wheels that are off my old Gti 16v (on while the others are being painted!)
preped and primed
Painted in gloss black (Just let dry for a day or so then time for lacquer!)
Think they'll look nice when i get them finished an on

Oh and yer i brought the wheels with the shadowed look on them but think i'm gonna do them gloss black or anthrasite

No wanted to keep it as standard as poss apart from the smoothing boot!
I don't think it's a obd2! Should it be on a p reg??

Just a few more bits to the outside to be done then i can start to mod under the bonnet,

I'm just fitted a nitrous express wet kit to my car with a 50 shot setup, And was told by them that i need to run 2 rated cooler ruunin plugs! Does any body know what standard NGK plugs for a OBD1 or know what 2 rates cooler would be?
