737-800 driver

Well lads has anyone heard of the metal arm holding the clutch release bearing snapping. Mine has split on both sides so cant get gear, and cant get a replacment part as vw Ireland are doing a stock take at distribution depot. Does anyone know if the arm is fitted to any other box in the vw range? Any help would be great

I guessed as much with regard to price.... This answers kelsters Q. My friend has had a serious collection of vdub's over the years. However because of job commitments, a lack of time and not being able to find a quick vdub out of the box he went and bought the s4. Bear in mind the car cost 11k. Thinking about it know I think he might have paid a bit too much considering who drove it.......It is a red s4 and can be seen on youtube being driven by clarkson on topgear. It is up against an e46 m3.

Thanks for the reply. I think something like the vento deserves big power as mine has been confused as a diesel, even by the local police. I have seen the pics of your own conversion and its impressive. Can you suggest a one stop shop or is it a case of diy?

Thanks for the reply lads. Decisions, decisions. I dont want to charge the r32 as its still under warranty and it HAS been in for work under warranty already. The thing is the vr in question is a vento. Everyone one who has met me hates the car because its a vento. The old doll wont even sit in it when we have to go somewhere. So ive decided to throw a bunch of money at it and see what happens performance wise. I will post the progress up as the plan takes shape. Maybe I should have bought a gt2. Thanks lads.

What do you think then rotrex or vf? Whats the best for delivering enough power to pass the s4? Any ideas on reliability. Thanks again

Well lads does anyone know if a '03 audi s4 not rs4 would wipe a charged vr6. A friend of mine bought the s4 recently and claims the vr would stand no chance. After speaking to Stealth and Storm about supercharging the vr I wanted to know would I be pissing against the wind if I went through with it. My friend has driven my '07 r32 and has slated that aswell. Which I can sort of understand as its standard. What can I do with the vr to compete. We usually meet each other on the motorway so 4wd not really a problem. Budget is about 3500-4500 pounds. Thanks for the response.

Hi everyone, hope this is the right section to be in? I have an unwell '96 vento vr6, If the car is started and clutch is pressed there is a loud consistent knock. No gears can be selected. I can just about select gears if the ignition is off. I was told before I bought it that the clutch was replaced within 1000 miles. Im thinking the release bearing is knackered and the guy didnt fit a full cluthch kit. Just wondering what you think? Thanks for the response people.
