ahhhh see now here is an idea.... I had trouble starting the car and i was revving it as i was trying to start it...so im thinking your prob right about the unburnt fuel! Thanks for the help, sorry if i wasted anyones time!

I would think it wil have, the whole engine and everything was from the same car and it was a 96

not offended mate, yes the leads are in the correct positions, its ran fine since changing the coilpack, then just suddenly started with this. Cant get it to talk to vag com....the car was originally a GTI but now has a OBD2 VR6 engine in and last time we tried to get communication it just flattened the battery!!!?

Hi guys, i recently had a rough idle problem with my OBD2 Vr6 i then realised that the MAF was on the wrong way around, so i changed that to the right way round....fitted my RAMAIR induction kit and started it up for the first time in about 3-4 weeks, then i let it warm up, although with rough idle as per normal Then when i revved it to hear the new noise of the Induction Kit it popped really loudly, then did it again and then was backfiring and popping very very loudly! The car has had a Brand new Coilpack and is running magnecore blue leads, i recently cleaned the throttle body and changed

This may seem a bit of a random question... I no what the MAF is, i removed it from the car and it has one side meshed and one side completely open and exposed... Now when i replaced a MAF on my MKIV Golf it was meshed both sides with no open side at all. Basically my question is..is my MAF missing something?

hi guys i have exact same problem, im trying to understand what the solution is though! Mine has good days and bad days, but the idle is ridiculus and bounces up and down and then sometimes sits at 1500 rpm, V annoying!! How do you clean throttle body??

private plate wasnt mine mate, was the lads i got the car off, lol The rear lights are genuine hella ones, V. RARE apparently? yes its riding on 17's still needs to go lower, lol.

Few new things changed up. Got the old private plate changed off, and the obligatory german plates wacked on, then the old grille got smashed by a kamikaze pigeon, so i used the opportunity to get the centre two slats done black, then i changed the wheels out for some TT 6 spokers, i decided they'd look cool gloss black soooooo here they are.... Im undecided, id ike peeps opinions, thanks guys

no mate, lol basically i bought the RX2's cos they were real cheap, then read a thread on here and everyone seems to think there the bnew TT comps, evryone is putting them on, lol. So the TT 6 spokes are temp for VW fest, then im gonna keep the tt comps and get them refurbed and the RX2's and then go from there, lol!
