ahhhh see now here is an idea.... I had trouble starting the car and i was revving it as i was trying to start it...so im thinking your prob right about the unburnt fuel! Thanks for the help, sorry if i wasted anyones time!

I would think it wil have, the whole engine and everything was from the same car and it was a 96

not offended mate, yes the leads are in the correct positions, its ran fine since changing the coilpack, then just suddenly started with this. Cant get it to talk to vag com....the car was originally a GTI but now has a OBD2 VR6 engine in and last time we tried to get communication it just flattened the battery!!!?

Hi guys, i recently had a rough idle problem with my OBD2 Vr6 i then realised that the MAF was on the wrong way around, so i changed that to the right way round....fitted my RAMAIR induction kit and started it up for the first time in about 3-4 weeks, then i let it warm up, although with rough idle as per normal Then when i revved it to hear the new noise of the Induction Kit it popped really loudly, then did it again and then was backfiring and popping very very loudly! The car has had a Brand new Coilpack and is running magnecore blue leads, i recently cleaned the throttle body and changed

This may seem a bit of a random question... I no what the MAF is, i removed it from the car and it has one side meshed and one side completely open and exposed... Now when i replaced a MAF on my MKIV Golf it was meshed both sides with no open side at all. Basically my question is..is my MAF missing something?

hi guys i have exact same problem, im trying to understand what the solution is though! Mine has good days and bad days, but the idle is ridiculus and bounces up and down and then sometimes sits at 1500 rpm, V annoying!! How do you clean throttle body??
