  3. will try it if no good or strange things happen will remove and throw over left shoulder and never look back lol
  4. ok will see what happens when i get it fitted, if it revs higher then it sounds like thats what it is doin in which case i may remove it, so am i right in sayin wher the ITA is located so i can get the module fitted and see what it does.
  5. So where is the IAT located am i right in thinkin its on the right hand side of front manifold as you look at it ? The one with 2 wires and a pain in the a$$ clip on it
  6. The guys from the place i purchased it from say use the 2 wires on the ait sensor, so do i go for it or not, how do you mean by overfuel craggsy !!!
  7. Hi its a mod from celoxperformance either goes from ait sensor or from coolant sensor if ait not present, but it says if ait has 4 wires use non powered 2 wires but ait on golf only has 2 wires !!!!
  8. Hi guys can anyone tell me where i can locate the above on a 1993 obd1 engine vr6, got a lil mod to fit but need to know where these sensors are coz if there is no iat sensor then it needs to be fitted to the engine coolant temp sensor.Pics would be good if anyone got some, thanks.
  9. it affects all cars even pre 2001, before 2001 it goes on engine size and not emmisions as on the newer models of cars, as pre 2001 cars were not built with emmisions in mind so the bloody goverment has to nail us all somehow lol, they will not keep the vr6's off the road however hard they try.
  10. i didnt think so, can cope with that
  11. Just found this on a site lets hope its true, Click on link then on whats its worth and then road tax. www.parkers.co.uk Just pick out your cars and it finds the prices, so thats cool by me looks like the vr is mine for a while longer, yippee. The site says the same on our other car that the dvla told me so could be good as a general guideline. Volkswagen Golf Hatchback (92-98) 2.8 VR6 5d AutoRates effective from 13 March 2008 Date of Registration 6 Months 12 Months Band CO2 (g/km) 1 Feb 1993 – 21 May 1998 £101.75 £185.00 - Rates effective from April 2009 Date of Registration
  12. Ok so can anyone help here, i have come to the conclusion that i dont wanna sell the vr but the only thing that will push me that way is the new tax prices i have been on all the sites and cant get a defo answer what the new prices will be has anyone any idea, called dvla they say anywhere up to a £100 a year more but does anyone know for sure, if i can find out it will make my mind up either way.
  13. Well all done on sunday took an hour and there i was prayin that it worked took it for a drive after lettin it warm up and checkin for leaks, and hey presto it sits at 84 degrees and thats it, well happy now.
  14. I was told by a vdub mechanic the best way to fill a vr6 cooling system up is from top hose and fill header tank up just above full mark coz you loose a bit when fittin top hose back on, he said the vr6 engine is the only mk3 golf engine that will struggle to bleed itself. when toppin up open up the heater vent so it goes through matrix, only sayin what ive been told !!
  15. Thanks guys i will get me mate down as well he is a good mechnanic and keeps his cool longer than me , he will be fine i will just pretend i am helpin lol
