Thanks for your help bigjak with the links and info, I have spoken to vw dealer and they say it is possible for DIY oil changes on the auto gear box, when I have successfully changed the oil I will better equipped to give practical detailed advice, and will post it here soon. Cheers

I have a VR6 Golf Auto, , Could anyone please advise on the cheapest and corret oil, as VW charges £60.00+ for 5.3 litres of ATF Detrox, I have seen much cheaper brands in motor accessorie shops, but their book only recommends the manual and not auto oil. Cheers (a)
