The steering rack on my old car isn't PAS. And of course before I realised this problem I got new track rod ends and rubber boots and refurbed the steering rack!

Just a quick question, I am in the middle of a mk2 conversion and am using the Corrado subframe/steering rack. The end of the steering column doesn't fit onto the Corrad rack. I spoke to someone and he said I would need the whole corrado steering column. Can I not just modify the corrado one (if I got my hands on it) to produce a frankenstein? And one other thing, I saw a few on e-bay but they were £60-70. Seems a bit steep to me.
