  1. its from 2 fast 2 cool and it was £50, stainless as well.
  2. I got this from ebay, 2 day delivery, v v good quality with lambda boss and a proper box so it doesnt sound all raspy like a straight pipe would. Only issue I found were bolts were no good so I got some from VW.
  3. I paid £9 + VAT from GSF today for one.
  4. You have to change over the rear engine mount bracket with yours, you can bolt your gearbox straight up, using your clutch and flywheel. The wiring would be a mission, and there isnt too much power advantage, would probably say it was worth it if you were putting R32 lump in there, same conversion principles, just more power out of the box. Think you swap over your coolant housing flange as well so you can keep your sensors.
  5. and does yours have the immoibiliser, I dont have a transponder box so getting a bit concerned as to whether the car will start.
  6. you might have to check the positioning of your pipework as it might not mate up to a factory system. I can recommend a jetex exhaust to replace yours with, 3 boxes all factory sized which gives near std normal driving and nice sound when you want it, nice burble at tick over as well.
  7. gti and vr6 use same bore exhausts, even cats are same after 1993. They may well share the entire system.
  8. Do these produce the same 174bhp as the early OBDIs? I am keeping the car NA so not too fussed about charge potential, what sort of gains could I get from a chip/remap? I have a decat pipe (small baffled box one so hopefuly no rasp) jetex ss mk2 exhaust and a ram air big one.
  9. Damn, lol thought that only OBDIIs had the immob, will have to make sure he has the immob box.
  10. Hey I'm a newbie starting a mk2 VR conversion, I have an ecu and am looking at tuning options etc and am unsure as to which engine mine is, its date stamped 28/05/1995, and the ecu number is 021 986 258 CH. The engine is coilpack but am unsure if its OBDI or II so was hoping one of you guys might be able to tell from the ecu. Engine isnt with me you see so I cant check the physical differences. Thanks.
