right, small update, tried to measure the resistance on the Crank pos sensor, nothing, so thought id check the same thing on my s2 crank position sensors and nothing.... weird! also i checked the voltage at the crank position sensor connector (loom side) and theres just 0.5V with the ignition on?? fitted another coil to the car today, and when you turn the ignition on it doesnt spark anymore, still no spark on cranking and no spark when i turn the key off (like it did with the other coil)

Hi everyone, ive got a little problem, ive got a mk2 golf sat in my bodyshop, its had a VR6 conversion done with an early OBD1 Dizzy engine, car ran perfectly prior to stripping for the respray, i removed all the engine wiring from fusebox and labled everything to make sure that it would all be replaced as it came apart.. anyways putting the car back together for GTI international and went to start it, no start, couldnt hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key on, so checked the relay was in, and it was No.80 so got a jumper wire and wired the pump on all the time, so its not fuel, so

no they dont... well they dont on my GTV V6, my S2 Avant or my brothers Mk3 VR

id scrap that sh*t if i were you... them VR6's are rubbish, get yourself a nice honda or one of them phat saxo's!!!
