Hi Guys,
Long time member, trying to get back into a VR. Seen this VR for sale locally, has VR6OC sticker in the rear window. Does anyone here know anything about this car?
thanks in advance,
PS: Anyone selling a decent original vr then please get in touch.

http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?190342.post you mean this mate but I am not sure what displays you get
That's it however I think I might have confused the bit were it can display the fuel readings, it seems like the fuel gauge becomes MPG??
Thanks tho Ben :$

Hello guy's,
The petrol gauge on my friends mk3 stopped operating and I remember reading on vr6oc somewhere that your could use your mfa to display the pertrol gauge?? Is this correct and does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks
PS: Still don't have a VR but all is good.

Having owned a DC2 and a VR,my opinion is that the Type R is much quicker, although not too sure about the civic type R though.

i have just removed the carbon canister and have plugged the black hose' date=' is this correct as i feel the car has less power and is drinking more fuel, can i join both of the pipes together ?
cheers chris

The carbon canister should have no bearing on performance or fuel consumption?? People only remove it to create space for induction kits and cold air feeds.

theres one on ebay at the moment selling as non runner as he dosnt know why it wont start cheap cheap
Can you please pm me or post a link? Can't find it on there. Thanks
sorry it went about an hour before you posted i saw it but didnt take any notice of when it ended sorry chap
No problem, there was a red vento on auto trader around 1.5 weeks ago for £990, it looked mint but was around 300 miles from me so could not arrange viewing asap and it sold , so ideally looking to spend a grand, obviously I know spending that amount won't get me much. Also need to sell the Touran first as I cannot afford to run three cars. Touran has been advertised but no takers yet

Knew you'd be back lol!
Life is just not the same without one! Not looking forward to the fuel bill though 8-) See a nice red vento on here as well but a little over my price range though
-
Hey people, have not been around for while but looking into a possible purchase of another vr so hopefully won't belong before I am back, ideally looking for a vento so if you see a good vento's for sale then pm me please.
Thanks

Sup guy's
Spotted my old vr for sale again, just curious to know wether the price he is asking is realistic? He has obviously done a few bits to it....
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1274569.htm
Lemme know not that I am going to buy it back or anything just gonna kick myself somehow if it is lol.

Yeah bought these of ebay for a mate's colour concept good ride similiar to all the other german kits on the market.
EDIT: He got 60mm ride hide looks good and drives well.

Thanks guy's , I'll be back!

As some might know I sold the vr a few weeks ago, anyhows the plan was to vr a cabrio but plans change, hopefully will return again someday. Keeping it vag though here she is. Good luck guy's and hopefully VR6OC will remain as one of the best forums out there!
After the vr this is like proper old mans car. It is the 2.0 Tdi 140 bhp model, soon to be 190 Bhp and slammed with some nice wheels so happy to take on std vr's lol.
So gonna call this one Project SSS - Slammed Seven Seater
It is so big that I can even accomodate the neighbours kids. Codename KND for the cartoon network fans
-
Wow, I would have loved to buy your cabby
-
Not too sure about this anymore, car will be up for sale shortly and go down a different route. I have to admit it is good fun though been driving it all day today, clutch and steering are hard like rock lol.
-
any thing can be done ita all about time and skill level .... the only thing i would say it the chassis mite need quite a bit if strenthing as its prob not that strong in relation to the vr chassis
Time 6 weeks, skill level zero lol, was going to ask a friend to help and do 99.9% of the work . I have to think about this ine very carefully.
-
its a hard conversion. lots of welding for engine mounts.. shortening of drive shafts ect.
Not a bolt in diy job like a VR or 1.8t into a mk2
Ouch' date=' that may be a problem as the car would need to be on the road by end of August as she will be doing the school run, think I made a mistake of not doing my research before buying her. Anyways here are some pics although I am a bit sad .... body work needs tlc as there are a few dents and scrathes.

Think I am going to be a little brave and vr a mk1 golf, I have seen some before and was wondering if anyone has any information regarding the conversion??
-
A friend would like to know if his vr will fail MOT due to rusty arches. Basically the right side front and rear are rusty, rear a bit more than the front.
Thanks

Hi VR6Pete, great to see you stayed loyal to the badge , I would normally say it feels great to be back but it's almost impossible to find a decent vr nowadays!!! Been a long while since I was in the game can't wait to own another!!
