    Well someone did send me a .pdf for a Logic 600 which was useful, they can't all be that different so that gave me the basic idea of how it was all supposed to work. Do you need one too or do you have a pdf of a Logic 900 ?

    Mmmm that's the same cable I got I think, have you hacksawed off the plastic outer bit but left the plastic bit that runs down the middle of the two rows of pins so that you can actually push the plug all the way on ?

    What lead did you get, I had a usb to serial adaptor one and when I installed the drivers for it winxp put it on Com Port 6 which is no good cos the Vag-com software will only deal with com ports 1 to 4, I had to go into System-Control Panel-Hardware, etc and manually change the Com Port it was using, despite the dire warnings that winxp gave me, then it worked fine. Oh and I also had to hacksaw off the plastic outer of the Plug so it would actually fit into the OBD Port in the car properly, then it was fine.

    Ok, so I finally got a vr6 and I'm busy fixing all those annoying little faults that previous owners have ignored. I've got an intermittent starting problem, turn the key and nothing happens, no clicks from the starter motor, nothing, try it a few times then all of a sudden the starter motor spins up and were off. From the wiring diagram it seems the 12v to the starter solenoid comes out of the Ignition barrel on a Red/Black wire, so I get the multi meter on this wire and do some tests, turning the key sometimes 12v appears on this wire and sometimes it doesn't, when it does the starter motor

    I've just picked up a '96 VR6 Highline which seems to have a Logic 900 Alarm on it, anyway I'm not sure if the thing is playing up because I don't know how the thing is supposed to work exactly. Does anyone have a manual for any Logic Alarm system in .pdf form ?
