    just noticed this thread, ive ran nos on my vr, it had 50 hp jets, its noticable when it kicks in, i tried it a couple of times and it spins the wheels up in 2nd when it kicks in. i took it to a rolling road to check it was all running fine for it to go bang on the power run, big fireball and it blew the induction to bits, luckely just plastic bits. not wanting to put anyone off it as i think i had it cutting in too soon and a prolem with the leads which were misfireing, i still have it on the car but havent had the balls to put the bottle back on. ;-)

Having tried to bleed the brakes i failed, i bled the master cylender and then moved on to the rear off side and cant gat anything out of it even when i completely remove the bleed nipple the same with the nearside rear (havent tried the fronts yet), i tried it with the engine running and got a dribble out, the peddle will not go all the way down. can anyone shed any light on this please, the car has been lowered and it looks like the compensator has adjustment on it, i wondered if this has been adjusted and was caursing the promlem, the abs light is on, can this caurse a problem aswell? che
  3. as the title really, im up this way for a bit and looking for a rolling road that will be able to chip and remap my vr, does anyone know of on that any good. cheers guys.
  4. i also was starting my vr with with the throttle open and had similar problems. i called the aa out one day, he told me not to touch the throttle when starting and that i was flooding it.

    thank you very much guys, its been interesting reading. the pictures of the 12v sump with baffels would be great, please dont take it off just to photograph it for me. (thiugh that does show dedication to the forum) if you do a few measurements would also be nice so i could modify one myself. cheers everyone :-)

    what sort of clearance do you guys have under your sump? i had 90mm, it got damaged when i miss judged a humped bridge, damn vr landed nose firsr. i tought lowering a car was a good thing to help with handeling on a track, is there a a point where it then has the oppisate affect?
  10. having slightly ruined my sump :-( i require a new one and was thinkng of puttig baffels in it so i could run cut slcks on trackdays. has any one done this and is there any pics and measurements on how to do this. also a sump guard would be useful, does anyone have one or know where to get one. cheers. lloyd
  11. could be lambda sensor, when cruising the car runs off the lambda and when exelerating it runs off the map,
  12. i used mintex extreme on my vr and found to be good on the road, but cooked them on the track. ive now gone to fedro ds2500 great on track but not sure about road use from cold. (winter could be interesting)
  13. one off ebay says autonostics on it, seems to work on com 3 but wont communicate with car
  14. having had a problem with the car one morning (which turned out i had probably flooded it) i called out the aa, he plugged in his computer and it wouldnt work, he said theres probably a k line fault. since then i have bought a usb lead and downloaded both 311.2 and 409.1 vag com software, when plugged in to car the led comes on and on the test page it says everything is ok but when i go to check something it tells me interface not connected. (im obd1 engine with obd2 plug) is there a way of testing the plug connections on the car for voltage, resistance continuity etc.
