  1. Hope someone can help. My VR is due its 100k service and I'm obviously keen to get the job done professionally. I live at Lands End in Cornwall. I've tried countless searches on here aswell as google to find any VR/VW specialists but not found much. I remember a while ago reading a post about a company in Dorset (Poole maybe??). I am heading up that way next month - does anyone know of this company and their reputation?? Thanks alot.
  2. Haha - I live down at lands end - finding a petrol station is hard enough! I've been looking around a bit and i'm thinking the best solution may be to simply purchase a new Cat1 system (either toad ai606 or clifford C470) and have it installed professionally. I can get this done for around 200-250. Obviously this would sort my remote C/L problem. Presumably a professional installer could bypass or remove my current immobiliser?
  3. Hope someone can help here..... When I purchased my VR it didn't come with the original remote key fob - the guy had lost it. I have what is presumably the original spare (VW key which has to go directly into the lock barrel). Also fitted is a non factory immobiliser with a nice little red chip that inserts in the centre console. I have the certificate for this: Shurlock EP10 (thatcham 2 approved). How do I go about getting the remote side of the central locking working? I also want to be able to remotely disable the immobiliser with the same fob.... Can I get a new key fob from VW or do I n
  4. yea, sounds like a good move. The only advisories it had from the August service was discs (i'll do myself) and also "slight fluid leak on both rear shocks"....
  5. Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and to the VR. After a long search for the right one, Ive recently bought my VR. I just want a bit of advice as far as servicing goes. Its done 99k - with full VWSH. Its now due a service - presumably it will be the 100k one. The cars in great order, it was serviced (non VW) by the previous owner in August (service+MOT). Obviuosly I want to keep the VW stamp going for future sale price.... BUT, i don't have a bottomless wallet! What would you guys suggest? Assuming there's no major work needed then what would you expect to be paying (roughly) for a 100k service
