  1. Hi everyone i recently picked up a MK3 VR and when driving it home in the dark no dash lights would come on. So ive checked the fuses (is it the same one that controls the interior light and clock?) and now just recently replaced the headlight switch but to no avail. Anybody got any ideas? Cheers Jay

  2. Not sure if it was on ebay got it through piston heads tho. Yea i replaced the interior had the cloth in when i bought it but drivers seat looked like someone had let 1000 cats sharpen their claws on it. Quite unusual colour more of a biscuit colour than cream but like you say nice to see a VR with a lighter coloured interior.

  3. Hi all i sold my B4 passat couple of weeks ago. I actually straight swapped it for this MK3 VR6. Everyone knows i have a weak spot for VR's

    Used to hate mk3's with a passion but now after driving one i really do quite like them. Really solid car and such a nice drive with the VR up front. Sorry about crappy pics get some better ones up soon. Anyone recognise this?

  4. Yea true but i was posting up my 24v build up at the time thats why i said it! No harm done lol. Yea mike did consider the R32 nearly bought one when i had this but i keep seeing R32's in mk2's now so fancied something different. People say there is a noise difference but will see as im gonna be running the same exhaust de cat and induction kit so i can give you a proper assesment!

Hi mate i had this when i had to replace my coil spring on the front. is it lowered? check your top mounts on your susp and the bolt underneath the suspension cap (look under the bonnet at the susp. turret undo the bolt and take of the metal cap and check the tightness of the bolt thats on the damper thread you may need a pair of snipe nose pliers!) hope this helps stopped mine doing it!

    Also check if your coil spring is fractured it did on mine and thats when it started to pull!

Today i was driving down my private racing track called the A5 and was doing a reasonable 100m.p.h in fourth but as i put my foot down and got it to 5000rpm it just stopped and wouldnt go over that it felt as if some of the cylinders stopped firing! Ive had it serviced ie new plugs, leads, oil and filter and so on just wondering if anyone had any ideas? cheers
