right tried it with the maf unplugged still no joy , still just backfires slightly ? any other ideas cheers

are you still ahving trouble with your brakes? i ha d trouble with mine on my corrado i assume the systems are simalar but my problem was in the abs part and was stopping me bleed the brakes properly, i had done them loads of times and had no air but was told by the garage it was the abs systems resisvour and they used a pump or something to do the hole systrm. hope that helps but as i say they might be different systems

found out today my battery is dead so gota get a new one but still after any other ideas i can try once i get a new battery cheers

sorry iots an ob1 on distributer so no coil pack , and yea all the fuel pump seems all ok

am hoping someone can shed some light , was driving my corrado home from up north doing about 90 when it back fired and cut out and wouldnt start agin , seems to have fuel and spark. it turns over but then trys to back fire and sounds like it wants to start but as soon as u stop cranking the engine it just splutters. iv run out of ideas now and not sure wat to check iv got new leads to put on as stapped one of my old ones but not sure if that will help. cheers
