  2. not sure i think this one is called autodiagnose, a friend of mine is the specialist, there are a large variety ofmachines, even some from Snap on and Bosch any good trusted workshop should have this, For all this did sort out the Problem! the car needed a new CRANKSHAFT SENSOR< all sorted now!

  5. at this point the images i posted regarding the diagnosis originally were wiped clean. then when the car did cut out we checked it again and it was the CRANK sensor G28 only showing, as SAMSON mentioned i need the part number for this and not the one for the CAM.
  6. all terminals on the battery are nice and tight, the lights all stay on! its just not starting, and then after around 15minutes it does. just the engine cuts out!! Stu i noted you call it the CAM hall sender is this not different to the Crankshaft sensor which i am looking for and is listed here! http://www.thephirm.co.uk/Pages/faq.html#mk3_mk3 ok so i think ive changed the wrong one! ive changed the CAM sensor and not the CRANK! the error code i had was *** Engine Speed / Reference Sensor (G28) *** Engine speed and crankshaft position are registered by a single sensor located on the engine bl
