  2. ive got that problem at the mo with my other car, if i want it to the car wont grab traction till 4th with ease, but put the power down propally i can grab it but the begining/half way thro 3rd, so believe im used to big power fwds and know it aint bout just plantin ya right foot the problems could be sorted with a custom lsd box with longer ratios which im sure can be found for the vr6 aswel, yeah ?

[/quote'] if ya dont mind me askin why wont it fit on our right hand drive cars? obviously they have a slight diffrent lay out in the engine bay but thought it was just the downpipe that caused the problems?

  6. ive got a fair bit of cash to spend, was lookin to go jap but tbh there to common and every1 expects then to be quick, but goin to be doin it in a 2 stages, 1st will be the top half of the engine with turbo and nos, then it will be to build a bullet proof (as poss) bottom end and drop it in the hole, thinkin prob bout 400-450bhp with stage 1 and 600-700bhp with stage 2
  7. ok mate, im planning to run alot more power than 400bhp tbh, ive seen they can get double that from across the pond in the states so i think 600-700bhp is roughly what im planning on goin for (final figure). ive got the pvw mag and seen the phirms turbo vr6 and for what it has had done its produing good power, mite have a chat with them and run threw a few ideas. thought the lsd would be a big gain as with any powerful fwd tractions a problem, is there any diffrence between the golf or corrado gearbox ? low 12's aint bad but im currently doin that with my other car so wanna b takin a sec of th
  8. im currently looking a turbo charging my vr6, im wantin to go for big power and was wondering about a few things 1st. what is the current biggest power vr6 in the uk? whats the fastest vr6 (1/4 mile, 0-60 and top speed ect) in the uk? what sort of gearbox will be needed to cope with big power (std 2.8 or 2.9 cope, with lsd obviously) ? can the 2.8 be bored out to a 3.0 ? when a 3.0 can a strong engine be had from it, as in are the bores very thin and wont cope with huge power ? any help will be great, cheers

  12. im wantin to upgrade from my 17" super t's to a set of 18" rs4 style alloys, the cars already lowered -35mm but im wantin to drop it slightly more if poss aswell, im guessin the archs will need to be rolled but if this is done will they fit without rubbin ? any help will be great, thanks

  14. got a very reasonable quote with lancaster insurance, p reg, 3 door mk3 golf vr6, with 17" alloys and lowerin listed, for a 22 year old male, with 0 no-claims but no points or convictions £1350. didnt think it was bad at all tbh
