    Hi, Just bought a golf VR. Its got this lock under the gearstick which I need to identify so that I can contact the manufacturer to get a certificate for insurance. It seems like a very srong system, there is a steel pin about 15mm thick and 200mm long that slides in under the gearstick from the passenger side and locks it into reverse. But there is no logo, apart from on the key which is CYL, but that seems to be the makers of just the key. I can't find anything like it on the net. It would be great if someone knows what it is so I can save some insurance dosh!

    Hi, My VR is 12 now, so I wan't to protect the chiped, scratched, touched up paintwork that I have left as best I can. So what is the no expense spared, best of all daddy of all polishes?

    Thanks guys, I found a good mechanic who is going to let me try different set ups before I buy anything. The UK has ZERO potholes compared to here!

    Just bought a 94 VR6 where I live in the Czech Republic. Its my dream car, great condition, Purple Highline, Looks great and has been loved but too low for Czech roads. I broke an alloy just coming home in it! I would say that it must be about as low as you can get, there is about 20 - 30mm of travel or at least that's what it feels like, and it can't be doing the car any good. I also heard that the original VR6 suspension is a bit wobbly. I don't want wobbly OR bouncy OR broken alloys! Can someone please suggest a fix that doesn't stop the car from looking so cool, perhaps somewhere in the mi
