Air conditioning working/not working

Did this problem start after fitting your S/C kit? Cos the same thing happened to me after fitting my VF S/C kit, the AC pump would cut out at random. After hours of fault finding and parts swapping, the culprit was finally traced to the VF/GIAC software chip supplied with the kit. Put the standard chip back in and everything on the car works as it should. I am now using Vince's software (Stealth Racing) and the car is running fantastic! (A/C also working as it should) -
I'm using the SPA Digital Boost + Temp. Gauge.(bought from Demon Tweeks) Seems very accurate, I could repeatedly hit 8psi at 7000rpm with my VF Stage 2 kit and now with Stage 3 it shows an indicated 10psi (+/- 0.2psi) at 7000rpm. I gave up with the mechanical type gauges because they were too noisy in operation and never seemed to show full boost, also i would be too busy watching the 7000rpm redline to see what the boost gauge read. With the SPA gauge you can just press a button to recall maximum boost registered.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do when fitting a MOMO steering wheel, with regards to the airbag warning light, to stop it staying on after the engine has started. Do I need to plug something into the wiring harness where I have unplugged the airbag, and where can I buy one? Thanks

Have you checked your fuel pressure regulator? It may be leaking internally, allowing your fuel pressure to drop to zero every time you switch off your engine, the leaking fuel will drain through the small vacuum hose that is connected to the fuel pressure regulator. Pull off the small hose to see if there is any petrol residue in the hose, it should be DRY, if not, then this could be your problem. -

Hello Jake "330bhp, 300lbs @12psi That man is a God!" Awesome Result!!! Can you give me some advice. Iv'e just got the VF Stage 3 kit, trial fitting at the moment, the supplied intercooler has a bracket welded on it's side, where did you bolt this to on the car?, cos it does not seem like it was designed for a UK spec Mk3 Golf VR6. Any advice or pics appreciated. What other mods do you have on your engine? Did the VF Stage 3 pulley boost to 12psi or did you fit an even smaller pulley? I would be sooooo happy to get 300bhp after all the money iv'e spent -
According to the Bentley workshop manual, when you adjust/check the front toe setting on a VR6, you need to set the Left tie rod to 406mm and then any adjustment is made on the Right tie rod only to acheive the correct setting. Considering the Bentley workshop manuals are for LHD cars, would the above procedure be reversed for RHD cars, i.e. you make any adjustment on the Left tie rod only? Can anyone clarify if the above is correct or let me know the correct procedure for Toe adjustment on a RHD Golf VR6. Thanks
