  1. Shit dudes, it's way past my skills now! The engine REALLY cuts out often now. It cut out while driving today, and I almost lost it round a roundabout (power steering went). She's booked into my mate's Garage on Tuesday. Need to get this bloody thing sorted...NOW!
  2. Well, it looks like that's it for the Corrado. She's going into the Garage on Tuesday first thing to get this problem looked at. The engine keeps cutting out while I'm driving and I loose everything. Today, the engine died and the power steering went, as I was going round a roundabout. Somebody could have got hurt.
  3. Thanks guys, I'm in a bit of a limbo here. I'll try cleanin' up the ISV and see where I am from there. I can't afford to splash a lot of cash right now with it being after Christmas and all, so I don't wanna stick it into a garage and have them charge me for hours of diagnostics! Fingers crossed
  4. Yeah, I don't get it either. I've proved both, but ain't got no sounds! And I'm definatly not making a bad connection. Ah well. Oh actually, (noticed that you've got a '94 Corrado too) have you ever had a problem with the car dying on you while you're driving? Couple of times down the motorway it just cuts out and I gotta pull over to re-start. The other day, it wouldn't stay ticking over unless I held the key past the ignition position, then if I let it go she'd die. Any thoughts/ideas??
  5. Yeah, the original speaker works perfectly. I've actually had to fit it back just to get a decent sound. Can you tell me what to do to fix it please. It's really annoying me, and I can't figure it out.
  6. Small cry out to the people in the know. I recently fitted a new sound system to my Corrado. Sony all around. However, when I change out the passanger side dash speaker from the stock one to the Sony, it doesn't work. I swapped the speakers, incase the Sony was bust, but it plays in the driver's side and the rear deck. Any ideas on what could be causing this??? Any and all help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Thanks Killa, I'm gonna dive under the bonnet tomorrow and see what I can find
  8. Great, more problems! The Corrado, now, will either not start at all or only start when I hold the key past the ignition point. I'm going to have to call out the AA and get them do drag me down to a garage with a diagnostic tool!
  9. I don't mean to be ignorant, but what is VAG - Com'd Volkswagen Audi Group ...what? Would you mind elaborating a bit. I'm rather new to performance cars, but am eager to learn.
  10. The engine in my Corrado has just started giving me a few problems. It will just stall while driving (even on the motorway), and I'll have to pull over to the side of the road before I can restart. To beging with I thought it was the immobiliser, because I kept having to switch the alarm on and off, then restart. But lately I can pull over, and restart. Tonight, I got home (after it cutting out 3 times) and while sitting in the driveway, the engine was almost coughing. Running really rough. I had a check under the bonnet and there's definatly somethin up with the engine. After about a minute,
