I run a MAF on a V9 before the charger but it runs the original management that comes with the kit not a stealth re-map. Most of groups buys or british bought kits dont seem to come with the software.

Once a car is in safe mode wil it reset itself once the parts are replaced?

Cleaned that and MAF done the fuel filter checked all the usual but the only thing i've found lose is the Crank sensor i just wondered if electrically/mechanically this affects the injection? or idle?

Im suffering from a lumpy idle or the odd stall when dipping my clutch i've changed the temp sendors and cam speed sensors and now i've noticed my speedo stopped working so i tried checking the speed/crank sensor and it was very loose. I've tried to tighten it and its seems like its had enough so im going to need to replace it just wondered if this would also be cause or effecting the running of my engine apart from the speedo problems?

Cool didnt think of that, how am i supposed to take tension on and off properly? havent had a proper look and i dont fancy just diving in unless i miss something?

Hi guys, i've recently replaced my 2.9 vr6 engine out f my corrado with a 2.8 stage 2 supercharged lump. I replaced the battery at the same time and its lasted some time but recently as i've ben driving back and forth the garages its started to lose charge it seemed to completely run out and when i started it after charging it for 15 minutes it didnt seem to last anymore than 5 minutes it would cut out as the car was going? The garage put a voltmeter across the battery to show it losing charge i just wondered how i test the alternator or any common problems that occur? I do have a spare altern

Is there any specific place it should go though or where is easiest?

Im going to fit the cams myself i've recently bought a VR my third rado having only ben driving a year and i also wanted to learn more about cars so i've re-built the engine with all new gaskets seal etc top and bottom but im replacing the standard cam and lifters. Im not too worried about figures as i wasnt happy with the ware on the original cams i didnt fancy splashing out on standards so opted to use it as an oppurtunity and buy 268s instead. In understand the car will run rough and idle like a sack of... but i just wondered how it will run without are-map for the time being. Is it drive

Where would you guys recomend then and what kind of prices? I'd like to just map my stock ecu for now as im planning on stand alone later but that will be after a few more mods.

I was wondering what a 2.9 Corrado VR6 would run like with 268 cams and no re-map? An what are the best Stand alone ECUs to go for an prices? Or what are my options with the standard ECU? any chip suggestions or is it re-mappable at all?

Sorry if i wasnt clear enough its my water temperature hitting 100-110 and i know the VRs are meant to run hot just wondering when they kick in?

I've been starting my car an letting it idle on the drive its building up to low 80-s oil pressure and hitting 100-110 on the temp gauge and theres no fan kicking in? Only if i turn the ignition off then fan starts up so is that normal or should there be a fan starting before it hits 100+? Whilst the engines running? Just wanted some advice any quick tests to chekc the speeds and to basically know what should be happening so i can go from there?
