let the battery go dead then jump started it again. no problems with the indicators anymore and put all lights and heated screen on and checked battery voltage 14.2v with it all on and 14.4v just engine running so hopefully it'll all b ok now! cheers

batteries only a few months old it went dead from not bein used! it started ok the first time but only drove it up and down the road a few times so battery didnt get a decent charge! what about the indicators stuck on?

had my first go in my vr6 vento (god that noise is addictive! lol) only problem is it will not restart the battery went dead so started it with jump leads the first time and it was ok then left it and battery went dead again so got leads out and it wont start and the indicators are permanently on and it wont turn over! any ideas???

after finally pulling my finger out ive started work on my vento. changing the brakes and wishbones and bushes! namely the last one as was told it failed these on the mot by the previous owner but he couldnt find the failure sheet! after jacking the car up i went to place it on axle stands and found out the sills are completely fecked! now im wondering whether to carry on and get it checked to see how bad it really is and it all welded but i dont know how much this will cost! any ideas? or just to strip it and use the parts on my mk2 golf! the car was cheap £300 & so far spent about the

at last it lives!!! after getting another battery the key recoded & it started straight away! cheers mate! :-d

a bloke i work with has his own business and he does air-con & charges about £40 for a regas and service & he said the halford kit was shite!

err nope should i have? can i dosconnect the battery and reconnect it with the key that position now or is it gonna need reprograming now?

after leaving my vento in the garage for a few weeks it seems the battery went dead so ive replaced it as it seems to be knackered only problem is the car wont start now! when you turn on the ignition you get "IN 00" on the readout before the mileage appears is this supposed to mean something ordoes it sound like the immobiliser needs reprogramming as didnt have any problems before and it wont turn over!

i wasnt expecting too much of it and was gonna buy it to break as need some parts for my mk2 vr6 conversion and sell the rest on but its too good for that! just gotta deceide what i wanna do with it now! daily driver or week end toy ? hmmm!!!

ive finally gone and bought a working vr6! after having a vr6 lump sitting in the garage waiting for me to put it in my mk2 golf ive gone and bought a k plate vento vr6 for £300! needs brakes sorting as has been sitting for a bit since failed last mot for bushes so need to replace all that but other than that and a good valet i own a half decent vr6! !amazed ive seen a couple of ventos and they have vr6 badges on the rear doors but mines just got an r! is there a difference?

have you checked the seal on the fuel cap? may have broken or moved had this happen before!

Anybody help us with a corrado rad fan fitting??

hi unable to help with your prob but yhou can help with mine! i've been told need a corrado rad to fit a vr in a mk2 is this true if so with 1 as have been told theres 2 sizes either with or without a/c? also have you used twin or single fans? -
is it possible to fit a vr6 in to a mk2 golf syncro (the 4x4 jobbie?) has anyone seen it been done before? know any details or any web sites? i think this could be quite fun even with a standard vr lump in it!
