  2. thanks for the ideas guys. going into the garage on tuesday. will let you know what they say. cheers
  3. thanks guys. Sorry if this sounds stupid (i'm no mechanic) but It does allow me to select gears with the clutch pedal engaged and the engine idling. If it was the clutch then would i still be able to do this?
  4. Could someone please offer some advice as to what the problem may be with my vr6. Whilst attempting to pull off in 1st gear, I released the clutch pedal only to hear a grinding and cracking noise resulting in no drive. The same occured in other gears including reverse. Could this possibly have something to do with the drive shafts or the diff. Having moved the car by pushing, there was no apparent debris left on the road. Havent had chance to get under it yet though. Any ideas would be welcomed. Cheers. Gareth
  5. thanks for the advice guys i drove the car today and the problem has stopped. car feels great today and throttle is very responsive. cant understand it really.if it happens again i will try the above procedures cheers again fellas
  6. Hi folks, i am experiencing problems with my vr6 (89k miles). For the past two days, when i apply the clutch (ie approaching red light) and the revs drop, the car sometimes cuts out. Also the idle revs are dipping to 400rpm and increasing past 1000rpm and the engine again cuts out. Any ideas of what the problem may be and/or advice on acure would be appriciated. Cheers Gareth [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1186653493_1389_FT0_dsc01281.jpg][/lightbox]

I have not yet made any final decisions as to which exhaust system to get so any advice (with regard to price, workmanship, etc) would be great. Thanks for reading. Gareth
