    Water cooled VW's: -

    2 x MK2 8v gti's

    2 x MK2 16v gti's

    2 x MK3 VR6's

    I stopped running any thing stupidly expensive to maintain after some pretty hefty bills, often run a 2nd car as well to keep the usage down, including gems like rover 414, Ford orion, Renault 25's, 318i, 323i & 530i plus a whole bunch of other tat.

    VR6 is probably the fave, I gutted when I had to let my first one go 4 years ago and was very happy when I bought another one this year.

    Moved on a bit from my first car which was a Ford Capri 1.6 auto.

  2. The old club GTI forum had a large thread relating to people changing the MK3 dash into a MK2, I remember a few of the people changing the illumination of the MK3 dash to more like the MK4 so you might want to try on there.

Yes they did make them for the rear of the 911, fronts were 7.5 x 16, the 944's ran 6's 7's and 8's, the offsets are slightly different I think and if you are thinking of lowering the car I wouldn't even go there, mine is lowered to about 40mm from the bottom of the coilover (koenigsports) and I get rubbing every journey running 8's with 215/40/16's

    Only available left hand drive at the mo (and probably only ever will be), but definitely worth considerig as show lights

  5. they were on the PVW classifieds for months without any serious buyers, worst thing is, they are still on my 6" design 90's and I'm going to have to pay a fitter to prise them off, so after his charge and the Ebay fees, looks like I'll see a score for them, if it wasn't for a near 200, 100% feedback I'd pull out

Here are some pictures of my VR6, since the pictures were taken I have changed the front indicator bulbs to chrome ones, I now have a shortened personal plate, the design 90's at that time were 6's from my old mk2, they are now fully refurbished (not polished) 7's at the front and 8's at the rear, finally it has a miltek jet exhaust system and I've removed all the window stickers.

    Other modifications are Fk koenigsports, Eibach ARB's, a heavily modified B & M shortshifter as B & M decided to let the customers do the R & D work it would appear, Mk4 headlights, M3 half smoked rear clusters, crystal indicators and fogs, and additional alarm protection.

    Have recently purchased a Vento bonnet so depending on whether the new lights just released for ventos are any good I may be swapping the front end soon (need to get my arches rolled so a trip to the sprayers will be necessary anyway. Other items on the list if I ever have any money again would be Mk4 mirrors, Mk4 polo door handles and a cult society rear plinth, once thats all done I will move onto performance tweeks
