  1. not really but all i can recommend is that whoever you go to make sure they do it properly as if they dont water will get in the roll and cause you problems later bubbling etc
  2. company on e bay selling s et of 4 for 230quids delivered not bad i think supposedly a good tyre never tried it though. hope som1 can make use of the info
  3. currently i have 205/40x17 tyres on the brocks looks very nice and stretched. but the problem is theyr easy to kerb as the edge/rim of the wheel sticks out and the tyre is set back i was thinkin of puttin 215/40x17tyres on, the arches have been rolled do you think they would touch. i would feel a lot safer with 215 rather than 205 as with 205 it seems like i might lose the car going round a bend 1 day as the tyre is so stretched. but saying that i have seen cars at shows where they have stretched the tyres to the max is it safe??? &| [ Edited ]
  4. first of all i need to work out what size my caliper is if its the right size i would like to know how you do this and exactly what i need
  5. im up for that il have to check it out so apart from discs what will i need and how do i know what size my calipers are
  6. need to get a new set of front and rear brakes for the vr. any recommendations i have rotor discs on now, not that impressed really had dubsports drilled zinc 1s before ok ish [ Edited ]

  10. it normally cuts out when you let go of the pedal someone siad to me that the isv starts sticking after a few cleans and then you have to replace it. i think if my dealers saw the car they would crap themselves they are the kind of guys who say that vws should be left alone. can i be really cheeky is it possible that you could sort my pics out for me as i hate messing with files and uploads etc can t undasatnd em iv got pictues that i can e mail you i want a pic putting up where my car is at a show

  14. orite guys its my first time on this forum so wanting youre expertise. i have a 1992 golf J reg it sometimes cuts out when you come to a juction and slow down or when you are turning a corner the revs suddemly drop and its out. a mate of mine said it could be your idle control valve he took it off pretty simple and cleaned it out the car seemed to be ok for about a week then sme thing agian so then i did it ok for another week but now its doing it again and i though might as well replace it with a second hand 1. but wanted to be sure that it is gonn abe that iv changed the plugs recently i
