veearr6 0
Hi AllThere are a few threads along this theme already but they all asume prior knowledge, of which I have none!! *-) so..I want to change the black trim on my 1995 golf vr, but I'm not sure what my options are - can I get the bits resprayed? what about just pulling them off - the later models which don't have the trim, have they got extra body-coloured trim, or nothing at all?if I do pull the bits off, i assume there will be holes that will need filling? Also, the paintwork is pretty dull (a weeks worth of polishing should sort it apparantly) but I guess the paint underneath the trim will be brighter than the rest of the bodywork? Or will it be shitty and rusty?!!sorry for so many questions...your help will be apreciated... but please be basic as im a complete golf newbie.... !cheers
spindat45 0
Hi. The bumpers can be sprayed the same colour as the car but if the paintwork has faded then you may notice the difference in the two colours. The same goes for the side door srips. If you remove the black wheel arch trims then you will be left with smaill holes in the arches where they were fixed. They would neeed to be filled and sprayed professionally. Definately a job for a bodyshop if you are not able to do this youself as it won't look good if you try to cut corners. I hope this is of some help.Kevin
