mk3anni 0
Factory immobiliserYou need to have a key that matches the ecu the car came from.
IbiVR 0
Doubt it. No factory Immob on a '92 vr. Unless your using a later ecu?

IbiVR 0
93? possibly then. Do you know the ecu code? If it is a immob model then you will need the black box from under the dash and the ring that went over the ign barrel, and the vr key.Tom.
drop top vr6 0
there was no black box when i stripped the vr out and no ring around the ing barrel so dont think it is that !!??its a M9.2 ecu system so i have been told by bosch...any other ideas ??? got a sparky to come look at it thursday hope he can find some thing???tony
dellert 0
Definatley immobiliser related, mine does exactly that if i am too quick to fire up and it didnt read the code or if i use a key without a code on it.
IbiVR 0
No i dont think it is immob related by the sounds. the early vr's didnt have factory immob on the ecu.Plus it wouldnt run for 5 secs if it was immob, more like 1.Tom.
dellert 0
I guess the only way to know would be to hook it up to diagnostics as they even tell you if it cut out cos of immobiliser.
drop top vr6 0
tried hookin it up to the diagnostics but it would not talk to the ecu or any thoing on the car!!!!goin to get the alarm system removed and try re codin the keys and see wot happens ... wish me luck
