VR6_Absy 0
My flywheel is currently being machined and they encountered a high spot which needs to be gound down.Does anybody know what the dimenion should be from the bolting face to the clutch sealing face should be ? This is so the machinist can skim the outer face and achieve the desired depth.Cheers in advance Gazzer
RIX 0
you meashure that before you start grinding, any good machinst nows that, but there is a min dis. i have a book that has theese data but only for the old 210mm clutch(gti)you turn down each place the same amount and it will bee good.(iam a machinist/turner/fitter by trade)
VR6_Absy 0
It's a long story m8 basically i took it somewhere for a quote, they phoned with a ridiculous price which i refused but when i went to collect they had already started and the machinist had gone to the dentist. So if anybody can furnish me with the dimension i'd be very gratful as i can't afford a new flywheel. gav_113 0
does the vr6 benefit by lightening the flywheel? if so how much should it be? i done this on a rs turbo but lost top end speed? i have a second engine im building and wondered if it was worth doing?
