matth76 1
I have thought about going to VW direct to get a new ariel for my golf vr. Does anyone know how much this is likely to be or whether I can get a genuine part cheaper else where? I live in Sussex (south east). When I get the new arial does it come complete with the base... or will it only be the ariel bit itself (and not include the base) which i assume I just screw in? However if it includes the base how do I remove the old one and put the new one in? Is there a bolt I have to undo in the roof in the boot anywhere or is it a simple screw in job? richievr 1
just the unscrewable rod is £20 from vwthe whole aerial is about £35.....to remove the base you need to remove the trim along the rear edge of the headlining - open the boot it's along the top by the hinges, then slide your hand in above the headlining GENTLY , undo the big nut , unplug and remove it ...not too bad a job, just done mine recently..it is abit fiddly though, small hands are better

Seademon 0
I fitted an aerial from a Civic Type R - I prefer it to the standard Golf one.
